Bryan Higgins, 31, of San Francisco was found on the ground at 7:30 am on Sunday August 10 at the corner of Duboce Avenue and Church Street.  Mr. Higgins was unresponsive and in need of urgent medical care. He was transported to San Francisco General Hospital who requested the public’s assistance in identifying him as he did not have any ID or a wallet when he arrived at the hospital.  Mr. Higgins was removed from life support at 3:33 pm on Wednesday August 13.

Bryan Higgin’s – aka Feather Lynn

While initially police believed this may have been an accidental death, subsequent investigations uncovered video showing Mr. Higgin’s being battered by a suspect described by SFPD spokesperson, Officer Albie Esparza, as a white male, 20’s to 30’s, wearing a grey hoodie.  Officer Esparza indicated there were no obvious signs of trauma on Mr. Higgin’s body, such as a knife or gunshot wound, but he did not disclose what injuries had been noted by the San Francisco Medical Examiners office.

Mr. Higgin’s was well known within the Radical Faerie community, where he was known as Feather Lynn.  He described himself as a “starving artist” and worked at the nearby Rosenberg Deli on Noe Street in the same neighborhood in which he was found.

Homicide investigators from the San Francisco Police Department Northern Station are seeking witnesses who:

  • May have seen Mr. Higgin’s earlier in the evening to help understand his movements prior to his murder,
  • Were in the area of Church Street and Duboce Avenue in the early hours of Sunday morning and may have seen Mr. Higgin’s and the white male suspect in the grey hoodie,
  • May have seen a white male fitting the description in, or around, the area between midnight and 7:30 am when Mr. Higgin’s was discovered.

Any information, no matter how small or insignificant you think it is, may be invaluable to investigators in identifying and apprehending the suspect and in building an airtight prosecution of the suspect.

PLEASE POST THE ATTACHED POSTER IN YOUR HOME WINDOW, IN STORE WINDOWS, IN LAUNDRY ROOMS AND COFFEE SHOPS IN THE AREA.  HELP US SPREAD THE WORD AND SECURE WITNESSES.
