Following on from the incredibly successful self-defense seminar held at the 4122 18th Street Magnet location in November of 2013, Castro Community On Patrol (CCOP), Community Patrol USA (CP-USA) and Magnet are teaming up once again to present the seminar once again on Tuesday March 18, 2014 at the same Magnet location from 6:30pm to 9:30pm.
“Many people in the community are concerned with rising crime and increasing reports of people being assaulted for their smart phones and valuables. A little more awareness, and some forethought about what your options are when faced with a difficult situation can make all the difference, and this self-defense seminar will offer some invaluable information and insights.” notes the Magnet Eventbrite posting.
Ken Craig will lead the seminar once again. Ken holds three Grand Master level black belts within the marital arts disciplines of HapMoosaKi-Do, TaeKwon-Do and YongChul-Do. Ken is also Chief of Community Patrol USA, Deputy Chief of Castro Community On Patrol, Chair of the SFPD Chief’s LGBT Community Advisory Forum and a member of the SFPD Auxiliary Law Enforcement Response Team advisory committee.
The seminar is open to everyone 18 years or older with no upper age limit. It is a low impact, information packed, fun three hours and everyone is encourage to sign up and participate. REGISTER ON EVENTBRITE HERE.
