The Castro Community Benefits District (CBD) recently announced that Castro Community On Patrol (CCOP) would be their 2013 “Community Partner” recipient.

Each year the CBD recognizes different community organizations for the work they do within the neighborhood and CCOP has been a safety partner with the CBD at many of their events including the annual Music In The Plaza events.

“We’re very proud and honored to be recognized by the Castro Community Benefits District,” said Ken Craig, CCOP Vice-Chair.

“We enjoy partnering with the CBD on events which benefit the neighborhood and the community and it’s nice to be recognized for that.  It’s also great to receive some free advertising as we operate on a very small budget, and any help we can get to spread the word and attract new volunteers is fantastic.”

As part of the award, the CBD provides a free advertisement in the Bay Area Reporter newspaper (which is shown at the top.)

Thank you to the CBD and we look forward to partnering with you to promote the safety and security of the Castro neighborhood and our visitors for many more years to come.
