Volunteering with Castro Community On Patrol.  It’s fun, great exercise and you can help keep the Castro / Duboce Triangle area safe.

Patrol Volunteer Basic Training Class #046

Saturday May 09, 2015

1:00PM to 4:30PM

To pre-register, click the SIGN UP NOW button on our home page at www.CastroPatrol.org

Once trained, we only ask that you participate in at least one 3 hour patrol a month and a minimum of ten patrols a year. Patrols are made up of three people who can be friends or new people you meet through CCOP.

Patrols walk the neighborhood, providing safety information and advice, handing out safety whistles, observing and reporting crime and safety problems to the appropriate agencies.  We work closely with the community, law enforcement, fire and medical services as well as local government. We also help out at many of the major happenings that occur in the Castro and the broader LGBT community.

Have questions before you sign up for training?  Feel free to contact us at info@CastroPatrol.org and we’ll be more than happy to answer them for you.

CCOP is an independent program fiscally sponsored under SAFE (Safety Awareness For Everyone.)  We are funded through a grant from the Mayor’s Office of Housing and Urban Development as well as independent fundraising and donations from individual community members.
