Congratulations are in order for four CCOP patrol volunteers who were promoted on Sunday January 19 to the rank of Senior Patroller (SPtlr.)

SPtlr. Alex Upchurch, SPtlr. Ainslee Tillbrook, SPtlr. Aja Banks and SPtlr. Ross Hayduk all received additional training as part of their promotion advancement and were presented with their twin silver collar stars, certificates of accomplishment and their new Senior Patroller CCOP ID’s.

Chf. Greg Carey, SPtlr. Banks, SPtlr. Upchurch, SPtlr. Tillbrook and SPtlr. Hayduk

Senior Patroller rank allows the volunteer to represent the CCOP organization at community events and fundraisers, as well as assisting CCOP in the mentoring, supervision and training of new trainees and regular patrol volunteers with the program.  As Senior Patrollers they will also be able to now form their own patrol teams and determine their own patrol schedule outside of our standard fixed patrol times.

Our ranking structure within CCOP is:

  1. Chief of Patrol   (Chf.)
  2. Deputy Chief of Patrol  (DChf.)
  3. Director Patroller  (DPtlr.)
  4. Senior Patroller  (SPtlr.)
  5. Patroller  (Ptlr.)
  6. Trainee  (TPtlr.)

At the present time, Chief Greg Carey is the highest ranked volunteer within CCOP, with DChf. Ken Craig serving in the deputy position.  We presently have two Director Patrollers in DPtlr. Brian Hill and DPtlr. Dan Estabrook.

This is only our third Senior Patroller training class since CCOP formed in late 2006, and the prior SPtlr. volunteers ultimately promoted on to the DPtlr. level and currently serve on our Patrol Directors group.

CCOP is extremely proud of the successful candidates and we look forward to working with them in their new roles over the coming months.
